Knee pain can be tricky. Knee joints are like door hinges. I recently put some doors on my house. I like to try and do things myself to learn and save money. This can backfire on my. As you hang the door you are constantly correcting and putting in shims to make sure the door closes cleanly. It can be a frustrating process. There is almost nothing you do to the hinge that is a pivot point for opening and closing. All the corrections are made away from the hinges. At the end if it is hunge right, the hinges work well for a very long time. If the door is not plumb it pulls on the hinges in a direction the hinge is not built for thus creating wear and sometimes you even see shavings from the hinge. Our knee is similar. When we have knee pain, it is often outside of the knee that we need to make the corrections. The knee is at the mercy of your core, hip, and ankle.
